A Juneteenth Message From Our Staff

The Juneteenth Celebration is an opportunity for our Champaign-Urbana community members, students, parents, relatives, businesses, and organizations alike, to learn and celebrate African American freedom, culture, contribution, and achievement.

Our desired outcomes are:

  • To establish a more cohesive bond with all sectors of the Champaign – Urbana community
  • To showcase our community’s talents, services, and opportunities
  • To ease tension, distrust, and misunderstanding amongst different parts of our community
  • To foster open communication for future collaboration
  • To laugh, talk, eat, learn and grow while enjoying some good old-fashioned fun and entertainment together
