Natural Areas crew planting hundreds of milkweed plants in the park.

On Thursday, June 8 & Friday, June 9, our Natural Areas crew and 10 volunteers planted hundreds, if not thousands, of native plants! Utilizing funds received through a national grant program for pollinator habitats, our crew planted about $2000 in native plants in Heritage Park >> and over $2000 in native milkweed species in Robert C. Porter Family Park >>.

Visit our Natural Areas page to learn more about the importance of native plant restoration!
