REGISTRATION / PAYMENTS FEE STRUCTURE
Students enrolled in Dance Arts Core Ballet Classes and Irish Dance classes are registered for both the fall and spring semesters and do not need to re-enroll in the spring. Fees for Core Ballet Classes and Irish Classes are based on a nine month billing program (September – May) and are broken into even monthly payments. First month’s payment is due at time of registration. Monthly fees are non-refundable and not prorated for holidays, vacations, illnesses or snow days. Tuition is due by the 20th of the month in advance for the following month. Late payments will be assessed a $10 fee. Additional months’ payments may be paid in advance at any time. All other classes will be registered for by semester. To withdraw your child from the program, submit a two week written notice prior to the start of the next month to the Dance Arts Director. If you do not provide a two week notice, you will be responsible for payment of the following month.
The Dance Arts Conservatory performs annually at the Virginia Theatre and additional outreach venues each year. Performances are an exciting and rewarding opportunity for students to present the product of a year’s work and to experience the stage. Due to rehearsal schedules, only students enrolled in Ballet Concepts B and higher, Intermediate Modern, and Beginner Irish and up in the fall and spring will be cast in the Virginia Theatre performance, with artistic director’s approval. Performance costume and participation fees are not included in monthly billing and will be a separate fee in your December bill upon your submission of a signed performance agreement by November 1. Participating students will be charged a $30 performance fee and $45 costume fee. There is a $25 fee per additional costume after the first one for students who are in more than one piece in the performance. Deadline for payment on additional costumes will be determined by the Director. Outreach performances do not require costume fees. Those who choose not to participate in the performance must notify the Dance Arts Director in writing by November 1 so as not to be assessed performance and costume fees.
Adults and children with prior training should contact the Dance Arts Director for a placement audition at 217-398-2376.
New students will not be accepted for Core Ballet/Irish Dance Classes after October 1.
