Dance Arts

Dance Arts welcomes students of all ages.  Please contact the Director to discuss placement.  If you are a new student, please see New Student information below.

Performance Information

The Dance Arts Conservatory performs annually at the Virginia Theatre and additional outreach venues each year. Performances are an exciting and rewarding opportunity for students to present the product of a year’s work and to experience the stage. Due to rehearsal schedules, only students enrolled in Ballet Concepts B and higher, Intermediate Modern, and Beginner Irish and up in the fall and spring will be cast in the Virginia Theatre performance, with artistic director’s approval. Ballet costume fees and performance fees are not included in monthly billing and will be a separate fee in your November bill upon your submission of a signed performance agreement by October 1. Participating students will be charged a $30 performance fee and $45 costume fee. There is a $25 fee per additional costume after the first one for students who are in more than one piece in the performance. Deadline for payment on additional costumes will be determined by the director. Outreach performances do not require costume fees.

Those who choose not to participate in the performance must notify the Dance Arts Director in writing by October 1 so as not to be assessed performance and costume fees.
