Youth & Teen

Put your creativity to work using recycled resources, glue, paint, and more! We supply the materials, you supply the creativity. New fun ideas will be posted in each 2-hour studio time slot. Let your inner art beast loose with us!

3rd-5th Grade

Girls on the Run is an afterschool program unlike any other. We are proud to be one-of-a-kind, just like the incredible girls we serve. This program utilizes a research-based curriculum that inspires confidence through:

  •  Fun, physical movement-based activities
  •  Group discussions that teach social-emotional skills
  •  Team-building exercises that unlock empathy and inclusion
  •  Setting goals in preparation for a celebratory 5K event, which will be the Christie Clinic Illinois Race.
  • Each participant gets a t-shirt and a water bottle.

Science. Technology. Engineering. Art. Mathematics. It’s Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead! Various science organizations from UIUC, in partnership with X-Time, are excited to introduce you to the wonderful world of STEAM and all that it entails. This is NOT a drop off event.

If you are at least 13 years of age, enthusiastic, hardworking, and willing to learn, we can coordinate volunteer hours for you. This is a great opportunity to acquire new skills, gain valuable work experience, and complete high school volunteer hours. Teen volunteers are permitted to work a maximum of 25 hours per week. A waiver must be printed, signed and mailed/dropped off:

Sports & Fitness

Tone and sculpt your whole body with Strength Training. Participants learn the building blocks you need to help you transform your body. This class is designed for all fitness levels.

1st-8th Grade ( VOLUNTEER COACHES NEEDED! )

Learn hard work, teamwork, and social skills while having a great time at Youth Soccer! The leagues focus on fun, sportsmanship, fundamental instruction, and opportunity. All players will receive approximately equal playing time, minimum 50% playing time. Each league uses soccer balls, goals, and fields proportional to their age as recommended by the U.S. Youth Soccer. All teams will play six officiated games on Saturdays or on weeknights (depending on the league). Older ages (3rd grade+) will also play in an end of season tournament.

Feel the burn and have some fun in this hybrid workout class. Combining ballet-inspired moves with elements of Pilates, dance, yoga, and strength training, barre is the perfect full-body workout. Please bring your own mat

Ages 6-12

Now’s your chance to get in on the summer softball action early! Improve your skills with the Champaign Park District’s Indoor Softball Clinics! These 4-week clinics focus on improving softball fundamentals before stepping on the field this spring. The curriculum emphasizes technique training that strengthens fielding, throwing, catching, and hitting mechanics through fun and interactive drills. Clinic is indoors but will move outside when the weather is nice.
