Grow Your Legacy With Our Tree Programs

Tops of trees in fall with blue sky and thin white clouds behind.

The Champaign Park District currently plants over 100 trees per year, most of which have been donated to celebrate the birth of a child, honor the passing of a loved one or simply to recognize a special life moment. With nearly 10,000 trees in our inventory, donations play a vital role in keeping our parks beautiful.

“If you would know strength and patience, welcome the company of trees.” – Hal Borland

Champaign Park District plants trees during the fall and spring planting seasons, with specific trees for each season. In addition, there are specific parks in which the District is planting, as not all parks are currently in need of trees. If you would like to make a donation to plant a tree to celebrate the birth of a child, in memory of a loved one or just to help make our parks beautiful, contact Bret Johnson, our Grounds & Maintenance Supervisor for more information.
