2022 Season Pool Rules & Teen ID Rules
Policy
In order to ensure a positive experience for all patrons, all guests ages 13-17 visiting Sholem Aquatic Center must have a Champaign Park District household account with current photos on file to gain entry into the pool, regardless of whether or not an adult accompanying the child/children is going to stay with them. This procedure includes older siblings, nannies, etc. who are supervising younger children ages 13-17.
Additional Notes:
• Pool Pass holders will not be affected.
• Summer Youth Programs with members between ages 13-17 will not be affected.
• Anyone ages 12 and under, or 18+, will not be affected.
How to set up a household account:
To create a household account, a parent/guardian will need to fill out a form at Sholem Aquatic Center with contact information including name, address, age, date of birth, etc. for each child and parent/guardian. This form cannot be filled out electronically. It must be done in person. Once the completed form is obtained by staff, each child 13-17 will take a photo. For the remainder of the summer, each time the teen comes to the pool, they will give their first and last name at the ticket window, have their picture verified, and purchase a day pass to gain admittance into the facility.
Why?
This procedure will help us to have reliable emergency contact information in the case of an incident. If a guest needs emergency assistance or help getting home, we will better know who to reach out to.
