CUSR Inclusion Services

Champaign-Urbana Special Recreation offers inclusion services for Champaign Park District programs. Upon an initial assessment, services that are deemed appropriate based on each individual will be provided. If needed, a one-on-one aide will work with your child. When registering, please fill in ADA information with INCLUSION REQUEST on the registration form. For more questions, email Grace Tissier-CUSR Manager & Inclusion Coordinator.

 

CURTIS ORCHARD

K-5th graders
Explore with us as we go behind the scenes at Curtis Orchard with an educational group tour! Enter the fascinating world of honey bees, see how cider is made, and even taste some of the apples we grow. In order to attend field trips, children 8 years old and under must have a booster or car seat. Please put their name on the car seat. Children will need a sack lunch and a drink.

Spend the day exploring dinosaurs, science, planets, and more! Parents should drop their child off by 8a and pick up at 5:30p. OUT OF THIS WORLD

K-5th graders
3-2-1 Blast Off! We will be launching into a galaxy of fun and learning. What is the hottest planet in our solar system? What is the name of the volcano on Mars that is three times the size of Everest? Learn these answers and more! We will also be taking a field trip to the William M. Staerkel Planetarium. Please pack your child a sack lunch. No peanuts/nut products.

FALL FESTIVITIES

K-5th graders
Fall is in the air! Join us for two fun-filled days of adventure. On 10/24, we will visit one of the best kept secrets in the area: Negangard Pumpkin Patch. Here we will search for the perfect pumpkin and visit farm animals.

Then, on 10/25, we will be visiting Curtis Apple Orchard where we will learn about the fascinating world of honey bees and see how cider is made. You won’t want to miss the fun!

This children’s museum is three stories of fun, laughter, and exploration, located in the heart of Terre Haute. Parents should drop their child off by 8a and pick up at 5:30p. RADER FARMS

K-5th graders
Join us as we travel to Rader Family Farms and tour their entire farm! We will take a guided tram ride to the pumpkin patch, navigate through the kiddie farm maze, bounce on the colorful Jumping Pillow, and more! Parents, please dress participants appropriately for outside weather. Closed toe shoes must be worn. Wear jackets, hats, and gloves on cooler days. Parents should drop their child off by 8a and pick up at 5:30p. In order to attend field trips, children 8 years old and under must have a booster or car seat. Please put their name on the car seat. Children will need a sack lunch and a drink.

2019-2020 CUSR Parent Handbook – Fillable

To Register: The Annual Information Form (AIF) is a required form that contains extremely important participant information which is necessary for CUSR staff to plan and execute safe and enjoyable programs. Each participant needs to have this form completed about them. CUSR Participants will NOT have access to online or facility registration until we have received this completed form. Completed AIF can be mailed/dropped off to Hays Recreation Center, emailed to CUSR Receptionist – Amanda Carrington, or faxed to 217-373-7951. Once we have received the completed AIF, registration can be taken at any Champaign Park District facility and online.
