School’s Out

The Champaign Park District is your child’s destination for positive, educational, and productive programs when school is out. Fee includes supplies, equipment, morning snack, and field trips. Children should bring a sack lunch, water bottle, and afternoon snack. No peanuts, please.

    • Champaign-Urbana Special Recreation offers inclusion services for Champaign Park District programs. Upon an initial assessment, services that are deemed appropriate based on each individual will be provided. If needed, a one-on-one aide will work with your child. When registering, please fill in ADA information with INCLUSION REQUEST on the registration form. For more questions, email grace.tissier@champaignparks.org, CUSR Manager & Inclusion Coordinator.

LET’S GET CREATIVE

K-5th graders
Come join us at Leonhard and let your imagination run wild. Young artists will explore different types of art. We will also take a field trip to Meadowbrook Park. Please pack a morning snack and a sack lunch. No peanut/nut products, please. COVID-19 guidelines will be enforced and followed. Staff and children must wear face coverings/masks at all times except when eating, drinking, or outside in an environment where they are able to maintain social distancing.

FALL FESTIVITIES

K-5th graders
Fall is in the air! Join us for two fun-filled days of adventure. Staff and child must wear face coverings/masks at all times except when eating, drinking or outside in an environment where they are able to maintain at least 6 feet social distancing. Please pack a morning snack and a sack lunch. No peanut/nut products, please. COVID-19 guidelines will be enforced and followed.

FALL-A-PALOOZA

K-5th graders
Halloween fun starts early this year! Join us for games, creepy crafts, and spooky activities. Each child should bring a snack and lunch in a disposable container. Please no peanuts/nut products. COVID-19 guidelines will be enforced and followed.

K-5th graders
We have lots of holiday fun planned for your children to enjoy during break. Keep kids active and learning all while making new friends at our Holiday Adventure School’s Out Days. NO SCHOOLAPALOOZA: WINTER BREAK EDITION

K-5th graders
Have a blast during winter break with our themed days! We’ll provide a wide variety of activities including games, arts and crafts, and field trips. Parents should drop their child off by 8a and pick up at 5:30p. In order to attend field trips, children 8 years old and under must have a booster or car seat. Please put their name on the car seat. Bring your own lunch, and we will provide an afternoon snack. No peanut/ nut products. COVID-19 guidelines will be enforced and followed. Staff and children must wear face coverings/masks at all times except when eating, drinking, or outside in an environment where they are able to maintain social distancing.

CHAMPAIGN-URBANA SPECIAL RECREATION: SPRING BREAK

Ages 5-22
Break is never boring when spent with friends! Students will stay active and learning by playing games, cooking, and trying creative projects. Please pack your child a lunch and snack in disposable containers. COVID-19 guidelines will be enforced and followed. All CUSR Camps and programs are NUT FREE.

GOALS: Enhance social skills, learn new leisure activities, and increase independence.
