Large Pavilions
Centennial, Bristol, Hessel, and Douglass pavilions are available for private parties or reunions. Reservation requires:
- a signed agreement
- rental fee (see below)
Reservations must be made a minimum of 14 days in advance prior to the date requested for the reservation. Upon reservation, a signed agreement, and rental fee are required. Failure to sign a rental agreement and rental fee at the time of reservation results in cancellation of the rental, and the pavilion reverts to a first come, first serve basis for the time in question. Non-residents may reserve a pavilion at the non-resident fee. Request rental below.

There are many smaller shelters throughout the district available for rental which hold 15-20 people. Reservation requires:
- a signed agreement
- resident rental fee of $25 for 2 hours of use ($10 each additional hour)
- non-resident rental fee of $37.50 for 2 hours of use ($10 each additional hour)

Park Use Permits – Available
Groups of 25 or more wishing to utilize a park should complete an application for a park use permit. Park use permits require additional fees and insurance coverage may be required for any type of use.
Hosting, and/or inviting other to participate in food giveaway(s) and other items constitutes a Park Permit requiring a Health Permit, additional fees, and insurance to the district.
NOTE: Applications must be submitted at least 3 WEEKS PRIOR to the event.

Kaufman Lake
Kaufman Lake offers outdoor fun for individuals and families. Picnic tables are located around the lake, and a variety of activities are scheduled throughout the year. For your safety, ice skating, ice fishing, and swimming are prohibited on Kaufman Lake.

Champaign Park District has a variety of sports fields to use for games and practices. If you are interested in requesting one of our fields, please review our available fields below and complete the Sports Field Rental Online Form. Please Note:
- Use of Lights or scoreboards for practices or games will be an additional charge of $15/hour
- Site Supervisors are required for all game or practice requesting lights & will be charged as additional $15/hour

The Champaign Park District has a variety of spaces available for rent that can suit almost any need from a small meeting to a large sports tournament or trade show. For information about rentals or birthdays at a particular facility, please visit that facility’s page. For facility rental fees and policies, see the attachments in the left-hand sidebar. The rental coordinator for each facility will help you get more information about your rental including any necessary Rental Agreement Forms. Sholem Aquatic Center After-Hour Rentals
Whether you’d like to have the entire waterpark to yourself or you’re just looking for some uninterrupted river floating, we’ve got you covered! No matter your budget, you can celebrate a birthday, entertain clients, say thank you to employees, or host a stress-free family reunion by choosing any one of our three after-hours rental options:
- “Ultimate Beach Party” (full-facility rental)
- Fee (R/NR): $600/$900 per hour (2 hour minimum, 1000 guests max)
- “Surf’s Up!” (limited to the Lazy River and the three slides)
- Fee (R/NR): $360/$540 per hour (2 hour minimum, 500 guests max)
- “Summer Nights” (limited to the main pool and lap lanes)
- Fee (R/NR): $290/$435 per hour (2 hour minimum, 500 guests max)
Sholem’s concession stand, The Oasis, will cater your event for an additional fee (call or email for pricing and menu options). You must pay in full prior to your rental. 10% deposits are non-refundable. All rentals must occur before or after public swim/programming hours. Let us share in your special day! West Side Park, Centennial Park, Porter Park, and Douglass Park are all available for wedding rentals.
Any event or wedding for over 250 persons will require a written proposal from the renter detailing the proposed event. Additional fees may be required for large events to provide for additional Park District logistical and operational expenses. The only parks permitted for weddings or large outdoor events are West Side Park, Park, Centennial Park, Porter Park, and Douglass Park as many of the other parks do not have the amenities, services, or space to host a wedding or large event.

Basic Birthday Package

Looking for a no frills option? Try our Basic Birthday Party package. The party room includes television with HDMI cable, refrigerator, microwave, tables, chairs and kitchenette. Family is responsible for all decorations, cake, and all other food items

Leonhard Staff-Led Themed Birthday Packages
Ages 6-12
Choose from one of four themes: Super Silly Science, Cupcake Decorating, Tie-Dye Birthday Special, or Basketball Superstars. Theme details are below.

| Cupcake Decorating | Come get creative with this cupcake decorating party. This party will include cupcake decorating tips and actual cupcakes to decorate and enjoy. For allergies or special diets, please talk to the party coordinator to see if we can accommodate. |
| Tie-Dye Birthday Special | Come join in on the tie-dye fun! Kids will make their own tie dyed T-shirts. You pick the colors and the mess stays with us. Party guests or renter must provide their own t-shirts. We will provide the rest! |
| Basketball Superstars | Calling all basketball stars! Kids will have a great time playing basketball with their friends. Baskets can be lowered to 8 feet for younger children. The two hour party includes a one hour full-court basketball rental and a gym attendant to assist you with court set up and guests. This party does not include any pre-planned games. |

Fee (R/NR): $210/$260, plus $50 refundable damage deposit. (Includes private party room, tables, chairs, Park District party leader, decorations, and supplies. Party leader will lead activities for 30 minutes for all parties, except Basketball Superstars. Family is responsible for cake and any other food items. Goodie bags are not provided.)

- Kids in you party can explore the Indoor Playground for a $60 additional charge, but it will not be exclusive (i.e. will be open to the public, too)
- Rent a court in the gym for basketball or other fun activities for an additional charge of $90/$135 for half of gym/per hour – depends upon availability.
Prairie Farm Birthday Parties | 2202 W. Kirby Ave.
From June 6 – August 13
Duck, duck, goose! Kids will flock to Prairie Farm for these fun, unique birthday parties! Guests enjoy their own private use of the farm, including a special tour with up close and personal contact with the animals, a piñata, games, and party favors. Don’t be a chicken, call to schedule your party and leave the stress and mess to us!
Days: Daily, 11:30a-1p
Fee (R/NR): $215/$265 for up to 20 kids (45 total people including parents)

We offer great parties in the gym at the Douglass Community Center. At our facility you may rent space and provide your own entertainment, or let our party experts handle all the details while you sit back and relax. But hurry, space is limited!

- ALL packages include room rental and set up of tables and chairs

After the activities, the party goers will be led to one of our multipurpose rooms where the party can continue. Family is responsible for cake and any other food items. Goodie bags are not provided.

From birthday celebrations to corporate fun days, and family get-togethers to class reunions, Sholem Aquatic Center is just the place for your next special event! Our open-hours party options are available any time we’re open for public swim. You may choose from any of the options listed below, or give us a call and see what we can do for you!
A DAY AT THE BEACH
Let us make your next event as relaxing as a day at the beach! This full-service pool party package includes:
- Admission to the facility during open hours
- An exclusive lawn rental with picnic table seating
- Ice cream treats
- Your choice of nacho or hot dog combo with beverages from The Oasis, our full-service concessions area
Fee (R/NR): $300/$450 for up to 15 participants for 2 hours; $15/$22.50 for each
additional person. Each additional hour of lawn rental is $10/$15.
GROUPS ON THE GREEN
This great party option includes:
- Admission to the facility during open hours
- An exclusive lawn rental with picnic table seating
- 20% off prices at The Oasis, our full-service concessions area
Fee (R/NR): $190/$285 for up to 15 participants for 2 hours; $9/$13.50 for each additional person. Each additional hour of lawn rental is $10/$15.
LAWN RANGERS
Looking for a simple and inexpensive way to reserve some space at Sholem Aquatic Center Hoping to bring your lawn games and settle in for a day of fun? No problem! This lawn-rental-only option is made for you.
Fee (R/NR): $80/$120 guarantees an exclusive lawn rental with picnic table seating for 2 hours. Each additional hour of lawn rental is $10/$15. Please note that this package does not include admission or concessions.

Showmobile
Showmobile (Mobile Stage)
The Showmobile is a 16’ by 32’ mobile stage. The Showmobile is available for rent when not in use by the Champaign Park District.
