Kids Programs

Our Youth Theatre program has been working hard to present four performances of The Magic Treehouse: Pirates Past Noon KIDS!


Looking to be more creative in 2019? Our Cultural Arts program has the answer for you! Check out programs like Harry Pottery, Fairy Houses, Cartooning For Adults, Watercolor Painting – Landscapes, and so much more before it’s too late!


Less than bewitched by last year’s Halloween outfits? Creating closet room for a new costume? Donate your old threads and give kids a night of happy haunting! Donation of items not required to pick up a new costume.

Check out this great chance for kiddos to get involved in science, technology, engineering, art, and math at Extreme STEAM!

Gordon Lightfoot is celebrating his 80th birthday with a cross-country tour – Gordon Lightfoot: 80 Years Strong Tour. His vast song catalog includes classics like “Beautiful,” “Song For A Winter’s Night” and “Rainy Day People,” to name a few.

Our next art showcase at Springer Cultural Center is just around the corner – State Town and Country Amateur Art Show! Exhibit Dates: September 14 – October 5, 2019


Big things are happening in the Champaign Park District tennis world! We have the Labor Day Tennis Tournament, Dodds Tennis Center opening on September 3, and the Fall Tennis Tip-Off on September 7.  We would LOVE to see you there!

Our next Bach’s Lunch Concert will bring that turn of the 20th century feel when Bones Jugs plays ragtime music in Springer Cultural Center’s Historic Lobby!

Test your lumberjack brawn at Flannel Fest with this one-miler fun run featuring lumberjack challenges like log flips, crawls, and more at the Lumberjack Dash!


50 Plus!

If you missed last year’s sold-out Douglass Senior Style Show, get your tickets early this year! Come out to see the seniors of Douglass Annex strut their stuff down the runway – a guaranteed good time!

The Douglass Annex and Champaign Park District care about your health! Take advantage of free health screenings for seniors that include blood pressure screening and a vision and hearing test.
