Phase 4 Plan (April 15, 2021)
Open Swim Scheduled Time Slots | Max: 300/time slot
Until those guidelines come out, we are going to require reservations for all morning programming, evening programming, and open swim time. This includes lap swim, walk/run the river, and tiny tots.
Reservations will be taken up to a week in advance of the day of the desired date for our Public Swim Hours and that you must register for a time slot listed below:
Masks will be required as long as the state has the mask mandate in place. Masks will need to be worn at all times in the facility except while in the pool, traveling between bodies of water, or eating at concessions. You will be able to leave your mask at the lounge chair you’re using and walk to the pool mask free.
Masks will not be required in the lounging area. We will be positioning lounge chairs in pods 6 ft apart to allow for lounging without a mask.
For more specific questions, please contact our Aquatics Manager, Brittany Fairfield at email@example.com or by calling 217-819-3985.
Frequently Asked Questions For PAST GUIDELINES
We are operating off IDPH guidelines from June 2020. We ARE expecting updated guidelines soon. Until those guidelines come out, we are going to require reservations for all morning programming, evening programming, and open swim time. This includes lap swim, walk/run the river, and tiny tots.
Will Concessions be open this summer?
It is our goal to have concessions available for patrons this summer. We will have more information as new guidelines release.
What is the rain plan?
Our usual rain plan will stay in motion. No monetary refund will need to be given due to our reservation system. Since patrons do not need to purchase their day pass until they arrive the day of their scheduled swim time, our rain plan will stay the same.
2019 Punch Card Pass
If you still have 2019 Punch Card Passes, we will still honor them for the 2021 season.
Will there be walk-in availability? YES!
The reservation software will shut down at midnight the night before. Our staff will create a walk-in sheet every morning for a first come, first served basis. Calling for a spot will not be accepted and we cannot guarantee that any spots will be available if they call in.
Pool Pass Refunds?
If patrons that purchased pool passes want refunds, we will give full refunds up to the day before the season starts (5/28/21 is the cut off date). We highly suggest waiting until the new 2021 guidelines release before making the decision to request a refund or not. Once we all have more information, we will be able to make better decisions regarding the summer season.
Opening day is Saturday, May 29! Visit the Sholem Aquatic Center page for information on pool passes, programs, events, rentals and more!
