Ways To Stay Cool This Summer

Stay cool this Summer with the Champaign Park District! Here’s a list of ways to cool off in this summer heat.


Sholem Aquatic Center

Sholem Aquatic Center is jam-packed with features that are guaranteed to make a splash: a zero depth pool with play-and-spray features, an 8-lane 25-yard lap pool, a kiddie pool with slide, a tube slide that’ll send you into the lazy river, and enclosed body slides (must be at least 42” tall to ride). 

 

HOURS:

Weekdays:

11:30a – 6:30p (pool pass holders)
12 – 6:30p (general public)

Weekends:

11a – 7p (pool pass holders)
11:30a – 7p (general public)


Splash Pads

Cool off at one of our THREE splash pads! They will be running daily through Labor Day Weekend.

 

 


LRC Indoor Playground/Open Gym

Bring the whole family to try the farm-themed indoor playground at Leonhard Recreation Center. The cost is $6 (Resident) and $9 (Non-Resident) per walking child. Enjoy the three levels of interactive features like a slide, wrecking ball, tractor, and log obstacles. Great for ages 1-10, the playground also features a toddler area, book tree, Legos, and sensory games.
